Why you can trust me with your child …

Two masters degrees in psychotherapy, including specialist child & adolescent psychotherapy registered with UKCP, BACP & ADMP.

Specialism in neurodiversity and navigating the education system (SEND & mainstream).

Over 10 year’s experience in schools, NHS mental health services & residential children’s homes.

Enhanced DBS & regular level 3 safeguarding training.

May be struggling with anxiety, school, friendships, self-esteem, a recent neurodiversity diagnosis or waiting for an assessment, EBSA, grief or loss, or with the impact of difficult early experiences and relationships.

They might not be able to tell you exactly what’s wrong. Perhaps talking about feelings hasn't worked before, or they've had support but never really clicked with someone.

I meet children in their world and at their pace. We might talk, play, use art, sand tray, movement or visual resources to understand what's happening underneath and help them make sense of their experiences.

Parents and carers are involved where appropriate, while keeping your child's individual therapeutic relationship at the heart of the work.

Children who come to see me often...

Two ways to support children

For ages 4–12, I offer two distinct pathways. You don't need to decide which one is right before we meet, our initial consultation and assessment will help us think about what best fits your child.

Both pathways put your child's needs, experiences and relationships at the centre of the therapeutic process. During our consultation and assessment, we'll think together about what is happening for your child and which approach is likely to fit them best.

And it isn't necessarily fixed — children change, needs change, and the therapy can change with them.

Short-Term LI-CBT Support

For a specific difficulty your child needs help with.

This is a more structured approach for difficulties such as worry, phobias, school or exam stress, avoidance, panic or physical symptoms of anxiety such as tummy aches or feeling sick.

Using Low-Intensity CBT alongside play, attachment and trauma-informed approaches, I’ll help your child develop a greater understanding of why they might be feeling or behaving this way, alongside practical strategies to help them manage their thoughts, feelings and behaviour. With psychoeducation for parents/carers along the way to implement the strategies and insight at home also.

Long-Term Psychotherapy

For experiences that need more time, exploration & understanding

Sometimes there isn't one clear problem to solve. Your child may be struggling with trauma, grief, loss, attachment, relationships, neurodivergence or difficult early experiences.

Through talking, play, art, sand tray and creative work at your child’s pace, I make space to understand their inner world and what their emotions, behaviour and relationships might be communicating. We may explore specific difficulties, but the work allows more time and space to understand the wider experiences and relationships shaping how they feel. For the little ones, this is

Open-ended • Exploratory • Relational • Ages 4 - 12

And it isn't necessarily fixed, children change, needs change, and the therapy can change with them.
